The APO is a regional intergovernmental organization with 20 member countries in Asia and the Pacific. Established in 1961, its mission is to enable its members to achieve greater socioeconomic development through the strategy of increasing productivity in all economic sectors. It is our hope that this Web site will provide you with insights on the mission and activities of the APO and their importance. After more than four decades of driving productivity, APO member countries have amassed a wealth of knowledge of and experience in productivity promotion, improvement, and measurement which other regions are keen to tap. This is not surprising as there has been a worldwide surge in interest in productivity in recent years.
