ORGANIZATION
The Islamic Republic of Iran joined APO in 1965, suspended its membership in 1978, and reactivated its membership again in 1985. The National Iranian Productivity Organization (NIPO) was established in 1992 under supervision of the Training & Research Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Heavy Industries. In 1992, the first productivity bulletin was published. In 1993, NIPO was given a dual status becoming a company as well. In 1994, the first productivity week and congress were conducted.
At the time being, NIPO is entirely supported by the Management and Planning Organization. It functions through a board of directors appointed by the MPO.
The board of directors consists of 5 members. They are responsible for policy-making, planning, and directing the smooth and desirable running of the organization activities. NIPO consists of the following departments:
- Productivity Award Management
- Administration and Finance
- Productivity Network Management
- Technical and Executive Management
- International Affairs Management
ACTIVITIES
- Training & HRD
An important field of activity concerns the implementation of training courses, seminars, etc. to transfer the productivity concepts and tools at various levels to managers, workers, etc. for national as well as regional purposes. NIPO also acts in developing the potential of its staff by internal and external training courses and information acquisition.
- Publications
The NIPO bulletin "Productivity" furnishes readers with up-to-date knowledge and information from a wide range of disciplines nationwide. Publication of books about different aspects of productivity. Providing training materials such as films, video tapes, and training packages.
- APO Projects
Coordinating and implementing activities relating to our membership in APO including those of training and research, observational study missions, technical expert services, etc.
- Research
Productivity measurement in different fields. Define and support of research projects related to productivity.
