Theme: Productivity and Innovation

APO is calling on member country nationals to submit images that capture all walks of life, illustrating efforts to improve productivity and innovation. These can be:

  • farms, agricultural and industrial facilities, offices, classrooms working to improve productivity
  • scenes from schools, vocational training, apprenticeship, personal development
  • families, groups, communities engaging in work ethics and productivity
  • and more… show off your creativity!

Eligibility:
Amateur and professional shooters who are APO member country nationals

Contest Rules and Regulations

  • Submissions, including digital images, must be 12cm x 16.5cm color prints (Japanese ‘cabinet’ size).
  • The resolution of digital images must be five million pixels or greater.
  • Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form attached to the back of the print. All details must be provided in order to be eligible.
  • Photographs on any mounts or panels will not be accepted.
  • Manipulation and/or alteration of or within an image, digital or otherwise, are strictly prohibited. Only retouching and enhancement conforming to darkroom standards are allowed.
  • The submission maximum is three images per participant.
  • Entries must be images taken after 1 January, 2009 in APO member countries.
  • Entries must be original images taken by the participant and not previously used in any web or print publication, similar to such in any way, or be planned for future publication.
  • Upon receiving notification of judging results, contest winners agree to immediately send original negatives, positives, or digital data, with equipment and data information, detailed captions to the APO.
    Failure to supply originals by the specified date will result in cancellation of the award.
  • APO reserves the worldwide royalty-free right and license for copyright to reproduce the entries for APO’s web, print, and promotional material publication. APO assumes no responsibility for possible fraud committed by any participant.
  • By entering the APO Photo Contest, participants affirm to have read and agree to abide by the set terms and conditions of APO, its official contest rules, and the decisions of the judges.
  • Upon entry, participants agree to release, discharge, indemnify APO from any claims made by participants or any third parties, including without limitation, claims of copyright infringement, damages, losses or injuries resulting directly or indirectly from any contest-related activity or participation.
  • Winning images may be cropped and processed by APO.
  • Entries will not be returned.
  • Although the APO will handle entry submissions with attention and care, it will not accept responsibility for entries lost or damaged during postal or courier transit.
