The Research & Planning Department publishes updated, authoritative guidelines on productivity-related practices. This is achieved through comprehensive studies of emerging concepts and ideas; evolving productivity tools, techniques, and methodologies; and new sources of growth in a dynamic global business environment. From the research findings, recommendations are extrapolated for follow-up by member countries and/or by the APO.
Recently, the APO has redesigned its research activities to strengthen its think tank and advisory roles. In line with this initiative and our other activities, the Secretariat is pleased to launch a series of resource and research papers. These papers have been produced by selected experts and staff with vast experience in areas related to productivity and competitiveness. We hope that the papers will provide useful inputs for policy making and program development at the national and enterprise levels in APO member countries.
