SUMMARY:IOSM on Digitalization of Public Servies for Productivity Transformation in Collaboration with Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:To enhance productivity in the public sector by promoting the digitalization of public services through knowledge exchange\, capacity building\, and collaboration with Malaysia. \nPakistan’s public sector faces challenges related to productivity\, manual administrative processes\, the digitalization of public-service delivery. Malaysia’s experience in digital government\, integrated public services\, and the application of emerging technologies provides an opportunity for Pakistan to learn from relevant policies\, institutional arrangements\, and practical approaches. \nThe IOSM will enable participants to study Malaysia’s digital government initiatives\, including AI-enabled public services; identify best practices\, models\, and frameworks that may be adapted to Pakistan; and explore practical approaches to digitalizing selected public services. The mission will also strengthen institutional linkages among the National Productivity Organization (NPO) Pakistan\, the Ministry of Industries and Production (MoIP)\, the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC)\, and relevant Malaysian digital government institutions. \nExpected results include enhanced understanding of digital transformation models for public-sector productivity\, documentation of relevant good practices and case studies\, and the development of a preliminary roadmap with recommendations for selected public services in Pakistan. The knowledge gained is expected to support subsequent dissemination and potential pilot digitalization initiatives. \nThe documented practices and case studies may also contribute to the development of the AI knowledge repository on the NPO Productivity Portal. \nFor more details\, please click here.
