SUMMARY:Productivity Measurement for Public Sector and State-owned Enterprises
DESCRIPTION:Technical Expert Services (TES) on Productivity Measurement aims to strengthen the capacity of Fiji’s public sector and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to systematically measure\, analyse\, and improve productivity performance. The TES will introduce modern productivity measurement tools\, establish baseline productivity indicators\, and support the development of evidence-based productivity improvement strategies aligned with national development priorities.\nThis activity is primarily linked to Pillar 1\, which aims to establish a national multistakeholder productivity platform involving government\, the private sector\, labor\, academia\, and civil society. It will contribute to this key result by promoting a common understanding of productivity measurement and supporting evidence-based collaboration among public sector stakeholders. \nThe activity also contributes to Pillar 3\, which focuses on strengthening the Productivity Commission’s institutional capacity in planning and implementation effectiveness\, including Results-based Management (RBM) and Digital Management Systems. It will support this key result by enhancing technical competencies relevant to the Commission’s capacity-building and productivity monitoring functions. \nThrough expert-led sessions\, practical exercises\, and knowledge exchange\, participants will gain hands-on experience in applying productivity measurement approaches to their institutional contexts. The activity will support the development of practical follow-up actions and contribute to the implementation of Fiji’s National Productivity Master Plan. \nThis activity contributes to the Focus Area indicator “A national training arm within the Productivity Commission has been designed and resourced to deliver needs-based training nationwide” by developing productivity measurement training content and a pool of trained public sector and SOE officials that the Commission’s training arm can build on\, and by supporting participating ministries and SOEs to adopt standardized productivity measurement frameworks. \nFor more details\, please click here.
