SUMMARY:Training Course on Innovative Technologies in Vegetable Farming
DESCRIPTION:Asian countries produce more than three-quarters of the world’s vegetables. They and other producers worldwide need to dramatically increase vegetable yields to meet the nutritional needs of a growing population exceeding nine billion by 2050 (FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific). Many Asian countries face difficulties in increasing vegetable production\, improving quality\, and reducing operating costs due to a lack of information and skills\, resources\, infrastructure\, climate changes\, and policy and support systems. Innovative technologies in vegetable farming can improve productivity\, stabilize farmers’ management\, and maximize their profits. \nThis training course will examine the benefits\, potential\, impacts\, and successful models of innovative vegetable farming to meet the conditions and needs of APO members. \nFor more details please click on PN.
