SUMMARY:Study Mission on Low-carbon Circular Technologies\, Digital Carbon Credit Innovation\, and Industry Collaboration Service Platform
DESCRIPTION:Indonesia’s industrial decarbonization agenda makes this mission timely. Manufacturing accounted for 19.07% of GDP in 2025\, while Indonesia’s Second NDC maintains the pathway toward net-zero emissions by 2060 or sooner and strengthens carbon-pricing and GHG-management measures. The EU CBAM definitive regime\, effective from January 2026\, also increases the importance of credible emission measurement\, low-carbon production\, and traceable supply chains. The ROC therefore provides a relevant benchmark through its experience in circular materials\, industrial R&D\, smart manufacturing\, environmental technologies\, and carbon-market development. \nThe mission will combine enterprise\, R&D\, and institutional benchmarking in Taipei\, Taoyuan\, Hsinchu\, and Miaoli. Participants will examine circular and bio-based materials\, low-carbon processes\, waste and biomass valorization\, AI-enabled automation\, smart manufacturing\, environmental technologies\, carbon markets\, and digital carbon assets. Visits will include leading companies\, research institutions\, and technology centers\, complemented by the APO COE on GP networking meeting on the Low-carbon Circular Technology Alliance and participation in the 2026 International Carbon Economy Research Forum. \nFindings will be consolidated in the mission report\, including at least one actionable recommendation specifying its relevance to Indonesia\, adaptation and replication requirements\, potential pilot projects or institutional follow-up\, responsible stakeholders\, and implementation considerations. The intended result is to translate benchmarking into practical collaboration and measurable GP improvements in Indonesia. \nFor more details\, please click here.

SUMMARY:TES on Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Industry Development by RCCI
DESCRIPTION:Pakistan’s Pharmaceuticals Export Strategy 2023–2027 identifies pharmaceuticals as a priority export sector and calls for stronger compliance with international production standards\, including more GMP-\, FDA- or EMA-approved plants. URAAN Pakistan\, the government’s Five-Year National Economic Transformation Plan (2024–29)\, likewise emphasizes export-led growth through its 5Es framework: (i) Exports\, (ii) E-Pakistan\, (iii) Environment – Food and Water Security\, (iv) Energy and Infrastructure\, and (v) Equity\, Ethics\, and Empowerment. Against this policy backdrop\, this TES project aims to strengthen participating companies’ readiness for applicable US FDA requirements and highly regulated export markets. \nThis TES project supports Pakistani pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies in meeting FDA compliance requirements for exports to the USA\, providing expert guidance on production processes\, documentation\, quality control\, and regulatory requirements\, and develops a model FDA compliance framework replicable across the sector. It contributes primarily to the Pillar 3 process and workforce improvement agenda. As a secondary contribution\, its policy recommendations are tagged against Pillar 1\, in which the 2026 KR calls for a multistakeholder committee to define baseline sector productivity KPIs. \nThe 10-day face-to-face TES project will combine expert consultation\, capacity building\, and company-level technical assessment. The resource person(s) will review selected companies’ practices and systems\, identify compliance gaps\, recommend corrective and technical interventions\, and support practical improvement actions. \nFindings and lessons will be consolidated into a model FDA compliance framework for sector-wide replication\, while strengthening workforce capability\, export readiness\, regulatory compliance\, competitiveness\, and productivity. \nFor more details\, please click here.
