SUMMARY:Multicountry Observational Study Mission on Nature-based Solutions and Alternative Energy Sources
DESCRIPTION:Bangladesh is scheduled to graduate from LDC status in 2026. Industrial development plays a crucial role in improving economic and social parameters while simultaneously intensifying consumption of limited natural resources and energy. National developmental policies must integrate environmental considerations across the value chain from raw material extraction to end-of-life treatment to ensure environmentally sustainable growth in all economic aspects. \nAmong the range of efforts in Bangladesh in its commitment to the UN SDGs and green growth\, focus on new alternative energy sources to ensure affordable\, clean energy and support nature-based business models are key aspects of national strategies. Moreover\, given the vulnerability to climate change\, community-level adaptation efforts in Bangladesh also contributes to climate action and resilience. This OSM aligns with the GP 2.0 vision of commitment to net-zero emissions and the UN SDGs. \nFor more details please click on PN.

SUMMARY:Conference on AI 2.0 to Boost Productivity
DESCRIPTION:AI technologies are evolving rapidly\, moving beyond traditional automation and generative tools toward agentic AI that can plan\, reason\, and execute tasks autonomously. This transition marks a new phase of digital transformation with far-reaching implications for productivity\, economic growth\, and the future of work (Deloitte\, 2025). Governments\, industries\, and organizations are exploring how AI 2.0 can streamline processes\, accelerate innovation\, and enhance competitiveness\, while addressing emerging risks\, data governance requirements\, and ethical considerations. At the same time\, productivity gains increasingly depend on policy alignment\, governance frameworks\, workforce readiness\, and organizational capabilities\, not technology adoption alone. \nMany Asia-Pacific economies are assessing how to create enabling environments for responsible adoption and workflow readiness. A focused platform is needed to share knowledge\, showcase applications\, and discuss pathways for strategic\, safe implementation. This conference provides an opportunity to align stakeholders and explore how AI 2.0 can deliver sustainable productivity gains. \nFor more details please click on PN.

SUMMARY:Workshop on Standardization of the Certified Productivity Specialists Assessment Framework
DESCRIPTION:The APO Accreditation Program strengthens the competency and credibility of productivity practitioners\, reinforcing the APO’s role as the leading regional authority on productivity. As the number of CBs and certified productivity specialists grows\, it is important to ensure that certification processes are implemented consistently in all member economies. Periodic meetings and discussions among CBs are therefore necessary to review practices\, identify gaps\, and clarify expectations of the assessment process\, competency evaluation\, and quality assurance. \nThis workshop will provide an opportunity for CBs to review and discuss the overall certification process\, from preparatory courses to examinations and assessments. It will facilitate the development of a unified Productivity Specialists Assessment Framework aligned with international standards\, potential revision of current certification schemes\, and identification of emerging needs and future directions of the APO Accreditation Program in line with Vision 2030. \nFor more details please click on PN.
