SUMMARY:Workshop on Green Hydrogen Systems for the Sustainable Energy Transition
DESCRIPTION:Hydrogen is a clean fuel without carbon emissions and has the highest specific energy among all fuels in use. Hydrogen is a feedstock for the oil refinery\, fertilizer\, and steel sectors\, and is used in transportation and energy storage where it generates power and heat. The International Renewable Energy Agency reported that hydrogen could account for 12% of global energy use by 2050 and producing green hydrogen could result in carbon emission reductions of 9–20 CO2-eq/kg of hydrogen produced from renewable sources. \nUtilizing renewable energy to produce hydrogen will contribute to achieving net-zero emission targets without impacting the desired economic output. It complements rapid transition to sustainable energy sources while decarbonizing parts of the economy\, thereby leading to overall socioeconomic development. \nFor more details please click on PN.

SUMMARY:Training Course on Advanced Technologies in Manufacturing Industries
DESCRIPTION:Industry 4.0 and digitalization are transforming manufacturing through new technologies and business models\, enhancing productivity and value propositions. Smart manufacturing involves integrating advanced technologies and data analytics to optimize production. \nHowever\, challenges arise in transitioning to Industry 4.0\, especially for SMEs. The APO’s 2021 Digital Innovation Process Guide Handbook for Manufacturing SMEs stated that a lack of understanding by management and employees of digitalization was one of the main challenges. It suggested that SMEs collaborate with experienced specialists to facilitate skill development and change organizational culture to embrace horizontal\, agile management. \nThe APO\, recognizing the need for more skilled professionals and expertise in this area\, is focusing on capacity building for productivity specialists who will be able to provide advice to the industry on digitalization and the integration of advanced technology. \nFor more details please click on PN.
