APO heading for rebound and regrowth

29 Oct 2021

62nd WSM

Heads of National Productivity Organizations (NPOs) gathered virtually on 26 October 2021 for the annual productivity planning meeting to discuss lineups of activities for 2022 and the 2023–2024 biennium. This year’s meeting was the 62nd in the series, chaired by the Korea Productivity Center. Delegates from all 20 APO member countries were present.

Rebound and regrowth were identified as key themes for 2022. Four areas of interventions were highlighted for impact and sustainability: upgrading capabilities of enterprises; strengthening enablers of productivity; facilitating economic transformation; and strengthening NPOs.

The qualities that have given strength to the APO since its founding were also reemphasized, i.e., solidarity and amity, ensuring that the region’s productivity journey is inclusive and leaves no one behind.
