APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata welcomed Dr. Ir. H. Afriansyah Noor, S.T., M.Si., IPU, Vice Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, and his delegation to the APO Secretariat in Tokyo on 10 July 2026. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on productivity-related issues and further strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and the APO.
During the meeting, the APO Secretariat presented an overview of the organization and highlighted its ongoing collaboration with Indonesia, including the implementation of Indonesia’s National Productivity Master Plan and the Strategic Partnership Program (SPP). Discussions also covered productivity enhancement initiatives, human capital development, and emerging opportunities related to artificial intelligence and skills development.
APO Secretariat officials and the delegation from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia exchange views on productivity and strategic cooperation.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the APO’s commitment to supporting member economies through practical, results-oriented initiatives aligned with national priorities. The Indonesian delegation also emphasized the importance of productivity in achieving sustainable economic growth and strengthening human resource capabilities.
The meeting concluded with discussions on potential areas for continued collaboration and reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between Indonesia and the APO.
