Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata was welcomed to the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan H.E. Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov at Expo 2025 Osaka on 15 April 2025. This followed the successful conclusion of the Green Productivity Advisory Council Annual Meeting: Special Presentation Session at the Blue Ocean Dome, Expo 2025 Osaka, on the evening of 14 April 2025, which was also attended by Ambassador Abdurakhmonov.
APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata (R) and Ambassador Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov reaffirm the desire to strengthen cooperation between the APO and Uzbekistan.
During the ambassador-guided pavilion tour, Secretary-General Dr. Indra learned that it centered on the theme “Garden of Knowledge,” and highlighted key projects reflecting transformation in the areas of education, culture, innovation, and clean energy, aligned with the country’s Strategy 2030 and UN SDGs.
The tour was followed by a bilateral meeting where Ambassador Abdurakhmonov reiterated Uzbekistan’s desire to deepen engagements and learn more about the APO activities. He extended an invitation for Secretary-General Dr. Indra to visit Uzbekistan to understand its productivity landscape. The Secretary-General gladly accepted and took the opportunity to demonstrate the newly developed GP mapping prototype. They explored the possibility of featuring Uzbekistan’s environmental policies on the APO’s GP mapping application when it is fully developed. The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the APO and Uzbekistan and expressed enthusiasm for closer collaboration moving forward.
