21 Mar 2024

Delegates from the Republic of Botswana, led by Chief of Staff Sebetela (3rd R), with APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra (2nd R).

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Secretariat welcomed a visit by the National Mindset Change study visit delegation led by Chief of Staff Lephimotswe Boyce Sebetela, Office of the President of the Republic of Botswana, on 18 March.

APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata warmly welcomed the delegation, which hoped to tap the APO’s expertise in creating favorable conditions for productivity growth and methods applicable to Botswana’s National Mindset Change Campaign led by President Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi.

Secretary-General Dr. Indra gave a brief introduction to the APO, followed by a presentation on its development of National Productivity Master Plans for its members and cooperation from 2005 through 2018 with the Pan-African Productivity Association (PAPA) by Secretariat staff. A lively round of discussions then explored the challenges in fostering a culture of productivity in different local cultures. Members of the delegation and Secretariat staff candidly shared experiences and put forward possible strategies that Botswana could experiment with.

Delegation Leader Sebetela expressed appreciation for the sharing and discussions, which provided insights into the scope of the APO’s expertise, from which future collaboration could grow.
