The APO presents Top Talk on Food for Nation: Digital Marketplace Initiative in Bangladesh on 8 July 2020.

A digital platform is an environment allowing supplier and consumer groups to participate in transactions and exchanges. The Global Digital Experience Platform Market size is expected to reach USD15.7 billion by 2025. Governments worldwide are migrating their services by adopting the digital platform concept. Recently, the Government of Bangladesh has launched the digital “Food for Nation” platform to enable marginal farmers to receive fair prices and offer consumers easy, timely, economical access to agrifood products. It was the first open agricultural product platform in Bangladesh and gives farmers, marketers, distributors, retailers, and consumers the opportunity to verify product prices and quality nationwide through direct commercial communication.

Member of Parliament and State Minister of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak will discuss the platform and other initiatives related to agriculture and food in this Top Talk.
