The APO workshop on Successful Models of Integrated Farming (IF) was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sushen Chandra Das, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Industries, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, 7 May 2017. Twenty-five participants from 13 countries along with three overseas experts from Australia, India, and the Philippines are attending.

IF emphasizes the use of natural, sustainably produced soil nutrients and cultivation of diversified crops, livestock husbandry, and allied enterprises to enhance overall farm productivity in balance with local, regional, and global environmental resources. One aim of the workshop is the development of action plans to promote the adoption and scaling up of successful models and best practices of IF in participating countries.
