NPO Established 1958
  The NPC is a national-level organization to promote a productivity culture in India. Established as a registered society in 1958, it is an autonomous, multipartite, nonprofit organization with equal representation from employers’ and workers’ organizations and government, apart from technical and professional institutions and other interests. The NPC is a constituent of the Tokyo-based APO, an intergovernmental body, of which the Government of India was a founding member.

The Union Minister for Industry is the President of the NPC, and the Secretary (Industrial Policy and Promotion) is its Chairman. The Director General is the CEO. The NPC has 13 regional professional management groups, located in major state capitals/industrial centers with corporate headquarters in New Delhi. It has around 150 full-time professionals/consultants. In addition, the services of outside specialists and faculty are also enlisted in projects based on requirements.
