Knowledge Management: A Basic Ingredient for Productivity


The management of ideas and knowledge is crucial for innovation as well as productivity. Knowledge is perceived as a key factor of production. Knowledge management (KM) is a discipline focused on ways that organizations create and use knowledge. Implementation of KM initiatives is to enhance individual, team, and organizational capability in delivering the services and achieving the missions in a better way.

Continuing the previous P Talk on KM, this P-Talk dives in deeper the steps, procedure, and implementation of KM initiatives in organization. Dr. Ida Binti Md Yasin, Associate Professor, Putra Business School, Malaysia, deliberates practical and proven knowledge in executing KM initiatives.  A close reference to the application of APO KM Framework including highlight on some case studies is also discussed.
