Public-sector Talent Management

Talent management remains a relatively unexplored, underdeveloped concept for the public sector. Dr. Ora-orn Poocharoen, Director, School of Public Policy, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, uses human resource-related frameworks to explain talent management in the public sector linked to better performance and productivity. She also highlights the need for policymakers to be fully aware of the value they are hoping to create for public service and the governance structures of the public sector.
