The APO Liaison Officers’ Meeting was held from 5 to 7 August 2026 at the APO Secretariat in Tokyo, bringing together 20 Liaison Officers from 19 member economies to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) under the APO Vision 2030.
APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata opened the three-day meeting. In his remarks, he emphasized the meeting’s importance in advancing Vision 2030 and the SPP, which has officially entered its implementation phase following its adoption at the 68th Session of the APO Governing Body held in India in May 2026.
The Liaison Officers’ Meeting focused on practical aspects of SPP implementation. During the event, SPP coordinators held one-on-one discussions with Liaison Officers to address challenges related to the development, endorsement, and implementation of their respective SPP Plans.
The meeting also featured updates on Green Productivity 2.0 and the APO Genuine AI Action (GAIA) initiative. On the final day, Liaison Officers presented their planned SPP activities for 2026–28 and shared key outcomes from their discussions with SPP coordinators.
