The Conference on Digital Transformation and Regulatory Technology (RegTech) for Improving Public-sector Productivity was organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in Manila, the Philippines, 1–2 October 2025. It brought together 91 participants from 16 APO members to explore how digital tools can enhance regulatory efficiency and institutional agility in the public sector.
Six resource persons, one from Japan, one from Singapore, one from the ROK, one from the ROC, and two from the Philippines, shared insights on digital governance, regulatory sandboxes, institutional readiness, and AI-driven RegTech applications. The program featured diverse sessions, including presentations, parallel sessions, panel discussions, and open forums. These sessions enabled participants to engage with experts and exchange experiences from their respective economies. Interactive discussions and case studies highlighted practical approaches to applying RegTech solutions in government operations and public service delivery.
The conference promoted regional learning and collaboration on digital governance and regulatory innovation. Participants expressed strong interest in continuing dialogues and capacity-building initiatives on RegTech implementation within the region.
