The Training Course on Servicification of Manufacturing Sector for Higher Productivity was conducted on 11–15 August 2025 in Manila, the Philippines, and hosted by the Development Academy of the Philippines. The course enhanced participants’ understanding of servicification as a strategy to raise productivity and competitiveness in manufacturing. Key themes included emerging trends, policy and regulatory frameworks, sustainability, and opportunities for smart transformation.

Twenty-three participants from 15 APO members attended and were guided by four resource persons from Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Philippines. The program combined expert lectures, case studies, and frameworks with a site visit to Uratex Philippines, where participants observed how service integration supports business success. A major outcome was the formulation of country- and firm-level action plans, which equipped participants with practical steps to implement servicification in their own contexts.
