Fiji Formalizes Its Strategic Partnership Program Primer with the APO

17 Feb 2026

On 16 February 2026, APO Director for Fiji Jone Maritino Nemani, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, formalized Fiji’s Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) Primer with APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata in an online signing ceremony. This marks an important step in strengthening the collaboration between Fiji and the APO as the organization moves forward into the APO Vision 2030.

Under the APO Vision 2030, the SPP serves as the primary mechanism through which APO member economies align APO-supported initiatives with their national productivity priorities. The SPP brings together clear national ownership and implementation readiness with technical support, strategic advice, and collaborative platforms provided by the APO to achieve the intended results.

In his remarks, APO Director Nemani emphasized the importance of turning strategy into tangible outcomes, stating that “These are not just plans on paper; they are concrete actions that signal a clear commitment to a more productive and prosperous future.” He also reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to working closely with the APO to deliver results through strategic planning and productivity-focused initiatives.

Over the next three years, the APO will work closely with Fiji to implement the SPP Primer, which centers on Green Productivity and public sector productivity, providing support through targeted technical cooperation, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and capacity-building activities that are aligned with Vision 2030.
