The APO presents Productivity Talk on how to build an inclusive digital workforce on 16 June 2020

This APO Productivity Talk features the honest views of one of Cambodia’s top technology entrepreneurs, Thul Rithy, on how countries can ensure that no young people, no child, and no woman are left behind in the postpandemic digital economy.

Rithy is the founder and CEO of KOOMPI, which gives less privileged youth and women low-cost access to sleek, lightweight next-generation productivity tools offering an unparalleled experience, combining modest hardware with powerful open-source software. As a multipurpose enabler, Rithy is empowering the next generation of Cambodian youth as the creators and innovators of tomorrow amid the current pandemic. Digital training courses are also offered to the young and marginalized so that they have the software and programming skills to thrive in the digital economy.

We know that we must brace ourselves for an unprecedented recession, and governments, businesses, and digital economy workers must all find new ways to cope. In this digital age, how can the workforce become as resilient as possible?
