The National Productivity Organization, Pakistan held a Workshop on Promoting Productivity through Digitalization, 6–9 October. The objectives were to introduce the concept of digitalization, show how digital tools and technologies, including AI, can be leveraged, and share best practices for planning and implementing digital initiatives. Twenty-three participants from 12 APO member economies attended.

Sessions were delivered by three resource persons from Malaysia, Vietnam, and Pakistan. They gave an overview of digitalization, organizational transformation, and its impact on productivity improvement, followed by conducting organizational DX readiness assessments. They also shared digitalization/DX case studies and introduced emerging technologies expected to reshape industries. Participants visited DPL (Pvt) Ltd, one of the most prominent ICT companies in Pakistan, and learned how it implemented digitalization initiatives. On the final day, all participants prepared individual organization growth strategies, and a number of volunteers presented theirs and received constructive feedback from the RPs.
