On 28 June 2016, former APO Liaison Officer for Bangladesh Abdul Baqui Chowdhury received the APO Honorary Fellow certificate and memento at the offices of the National Productivity Organisation (NPO) Bangladesh in Dhaka. The award was presented by APO Director for Bangladesh and Senior Secretary, Ministry of Industries, Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, ndc. Also present during the ceremony was APO Alternate Director and NPO Director, and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industries, Ajit Kumar Paul, FCA, and APO Liaison Officer for Bangladesh and NPO Joint Director, Ministry of Industries, Md. Abdul Musabbir. The APO Honorary Fellow Awards are presented each year to former members of the our community such as APO directors, alternate directors, NPO heads, and liaison officers in recognition of their long history of contributions to the organization. Former APO Liaison Officer for Bangladesh Chowdhury served the NPO and APO from May 1991 until retirement in September 2015 and was one of the longest serving liaison officers ever.
