Turkiye Formalizes Its Strategic Partnership Program Primer with the APO

23 Jan 2026

Turkiye’s Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) Primer with the APO was formally signed on 21 January 2026 through an online signing ceremony. The signing was conducted between the APO Director for Turkiye, Abdullah Basar, and the APO Secretary-General, Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata. The SPP Primer sets a clear direction for future collaboration by outlining a shared framework for strategic and coordinated engagement, supporting Turkiye’s efforts to advance national productivity priorities.

Under the SPP Primer, cooperation will focus on two areas: (1) digitalization and innovation ecosystems and (2) Green Productivity and energy efficiency. These priorities reflect Turkiye’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation, strengthening industrial competitiveness, and promoting sustainable, low-carbon growth in line with its long-term development objectives.

Moving forward, the APO and Turkiye will work closely to advance these priorities and achieve measurable outcomes through practical cooperation activities that support productivity enhancement and sustainable development under the APO Vision 2030.
