Accelerating Agrifood Innovations


Innovations in agrifood must be accelerated for resilience against various challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic and for enhanced productivity to meet increasing food demand. Dr. Paul Teng, Managing Director and Dean of NIE International Pte. Ltd. and Adjunct Senior Fellow of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, gives an overview of how to accelerate innovations in agrifood systems by reviewing past ones, predicting upcoming ones, and explaining key drivers of increasing demand. This P-Talk also discusses the role of the public and private sectors in advancing innovations in the Asia-Pacific by introducing the evolving Singapore Agrifood Ecosystem.
