A recent trend shows that SMEs are being asked to make efforts for their own ESG initiatives. While the initiatives have become commonplace among large companies, customers are becoming interested not only in products and services but also in the corporate philosophy and systems behind them. SMEs’ philosophy is beginning to have an impact on decisions on whether they are favorable workplaces. However, for SMEs, ESG initiatives often take a backseat to their core business, and resource constraints make it difficult to address them.
