The OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook 2023–2032 reported increased demand for imported dairy products in Asia. This trend is driven by economic and population growth, with India and Pakistan being the key drivers. In addition, the strong growth in global dairy consumption is also expected in Southeast Asia. However, traditional dairy farming in most Asian countries remains a challenge for growth. Outdated methods result in low productivity, poor animal health, and environmental impacts.
This training course will explore innovations in dairy farming, such as advances in breeding, feeding, health management, and technology, which have significant potential to address those challenges and drive sustainable growth. In addition, learning about innovative dairy-farming technologies and sharing best practices from leading dairy countries are crucial to improve productivity.
