Urban Farming for Productivity

Over half of the world population lives in cities, and this figure is projected to rise to two-thirds by the middle of this century. Increased urbanization has distanced people from food sources, increasing the length of food supply chains.

In this P-Talk, Dr. Phonrat Piathanom introduces his urban farm in Bangkok and discusses the concepts and progress of the model. The session includes a livestream from his greenhouse equipped with hybrid solar power and an AI-assisted environmental control system.
