Productivity Talk on 8 October 2020

The APO Presents Productivity Talk on Building Productivity in Urban Economies on 8 October 2020

Two-thirds of the world’s population will live in urban areas by 2050. Policymakers must therefore address issues such as productivity and innovation capacity to support urban economic competitiveness.

In this APO Productivity Talk, Harvard-trained economist Marco Kamiya will discuss how economies within cities can remain competitive through productivity, innovation, and the right digital solutions and provide a comparative overview of urban productivity initiatives in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Marco Kamiya, a Japanese-Peruvian born in Peru, and resided in Japan, is currently a Senior Economist at the UN-Habitat.
