Celebrating Productivity Champions across APO Member Economies

Dr. H. M. Arjuna Thilakarathna and P. P. H. J. A. Rathnakumara received the APO National Award 2022 for advancing productivity in Sri Lanka

Between March and May 2025, the APO National Award was conferred in Cambodia, Mongolia, and Sri Lanka, honoring individuals who have made outstanding contributions to national productivity.

On 21 March in Cambodia, Soum Sambath and Leang Leng were recognized for their achievements in advancing productivity. Their acceptance speeches reflected gratitude and a commitment to continued excellence. During the conferment ceremony, Phork Sovanrith, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Cambodia, emphasized the importance of sustaining productivity for economic growth.

On 18 April in Mongolia, Gerelzaya Altangerel and Urantsetseg Lkhayeizam received the award, and their accomplishments were shared during a nationally broadcast ceremony that inspired a wide audience.

On 15 May in Sri Lanka, Dr. H. M. Arjuna Thilakarathna and P. P. H. J. A. Rathnakumara were honored during the launching ceremony of the National Productivity Awards Competition. The event featured distinguished speakers including Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata, who offered reflections on leadership and productivity.

These awards underscore the APO’s commitment to recognizing excellence and fostering the spirit of continuous improvement across its member economies.
