Pest outbreaks continue even as farmers struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent locust outbreaks have caused devastating crop damage in Africa and are expanding toward Asia. Along with climate change, pest patterns are shifting and Asian countries must cope in new ways.

In this live APO Productivity Talk, Dr. Pampapathy Gurulingappa of IRAC Asia will discuss the effects of pest outbreaks on current and future agricultural productivity as well as mitigation measures including innovative technologies.
