The Impact of COVID-19 on Farmers in Asia

22 Apr 2020

Productivity Talk on 23 April 2020

While the COVID-19 pandemic slows or restricts economic activities, farmers who produce our food cannot stay at home and wait until the crisis passes. They face multiple productivity challenges such as labor shortages, lack of input supply, and ongoing environmental and pest pressures.

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) is going live on 23 April 2020 from 14:00 to 15:00 JST to talk to Dr. Sianghee Tan, Executive Director of CropLife Asia about the difficulties that Asian farmers are facing during the COVID-19 crisis and his views on what leaders should do to support them.
