Quality Education under Crisis

9 Jun 2020

Productivity Talk on 25 June 2020

The APO presents Productivity Talk on Quality Education under Crisis on 25 June 2020.

The coronavirus outbreak has disrupted the school year for millions of students across the world. According to the UN, many countries closed schools and universities to limit the spread of COVID-19. However, some countries are now poised to or have already started to reopen schools. Meanwhile, governments are also setting up systems that will expand the use of technology as an alternative to in-school instruction such as online classes. Educators are discussing how to “reimagine” education in ways that will shift it from a classroom- and teacher-centered model toward technology-based learning, or a combination of both.

This APO Productivity Talk will focus on issues affecting the education system during the COVID-19 pandemic and how to ensure a healthy, prosperous, secure future for students, while also looking at how education can play an important role in promoting sustainable development and overall productivity in the long run by responding to the crisis we face today.
