Data Analytics for Fishery Productivity

This P-Talk highlights smart technologies introduced to coastal fisheries in Japan. Information such as boat location and catch is collected automatically or manually and used for visualizing fishing grounds, estimating marine resources, etc. Dr. Masaaki Wada, Professor, Future University Hakodate, Japan, is adapting such smart technologies into a new form of “marine_IT”. In this P-Talk, he guides viewers on using smart technologies for making fisheries sustainable.
